Small group opportunities… to grow your faith… make new friends… bring others to Christ.

Small group members:    This is a new initiative.

The purpose is to connect folks in the church who have similar interests, and to let them plan to do things together in order to grow in faith, make a friend and extend Christian love to others in the community. Some folks have already been talking about starting a group. Maybe you have an idea of your own that you would like to toss out. It may be a prayer group, a mission group, a church fundraising group, a hobby group, a travel group, a luncheon group, a walking group, a sewing or woodworking group, a car club… you name it. Activities, meeting times and locations will be determined by the group. All it takes is one person with an idea.

Although the groups will be initiated by church members, you are encouraged to extend an invitation to a friend or neighbor to join your group as well. Who knows, this might prompt them to become active in our church.

If you have an idea for a group, please contact Pastor Mark for assistance in getting your group started. He is planning a meeting on December 11th at 6:30 pm in Ash Hall to share more about this initiative.

New groups and their “inventor’s” contact information will be listed in the church bulletin. Please don’t hesitate to start or join a group that you will enjoy.

Have you been looking for a place to fit in and put your skills to work at Grace?

The Leadership Team is looking for “a few good men”… and women too, of course. Below is a list of areas that we hope you will consider volunteering for.

The Leadership Team has deemed these as critical to the continued growth and success of our church. Please consider where you can serve best.

  • CONTACT Van Jodon, Leadership Team Chair, or Carolyn Foust, Vice Chair to get more information.
  • PRAY about where God wants you to serve.  Step out on faith knowing that God will strengthen you.
  • VOLUNTEER NOW! Contact Van 364-1993 or Carolyn 364-2468 by December 31st.

Newsletter Publication Team: Wouldn’t you love to see pictures and read articles about special celebrations, fundraisers, youth activities, and other events that the Grace community was involved in? Wouldn’t it be great to know what’s coming up at Grace? A newsletter can do just that. How about joining the team to take photos or write articles for a bi-monthly publication? We hope to publish our first newsletter starting in January, so don’t wait to volunteer!

Easter Egg Making Coordinator: Our Peanut Butter Egg Fundraiser has been such a success in the past because of great leadership and dedicated volunteers who make and sell the eggs. Willie Cash has stepped down from being the coordinator, so we are looking for new leadership. Willie is willing to show you the ropes, so don’t hesitate to contact her if you want more information. This fundraiser has played a very large role in decreasing the debt we have on our church renovation. Please consider stepping up to make sure this activity continues.

Connections and Outreach Coordinator*: As the title of this position implies, this person and their committee is responsible for initiating and overseeing activities to welcome visitors to the church; to help connect them with the church people, Worship, Sunday School, youth and other church activities so that they can be nurtured in their faith. The group will also provide opportunities for church members to reach out to the local community to share the love of Christ. *The chair of this committee is a voting member of the church Leadership Team
